JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -  While the Lookouts bats produced base hits in seven of nine innings, they would only score in two innings for a 5-2 loss in game one with Jacksonville. Chattanooga left nine men on base and went 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position.

The struggling Lookouts are 5-12 in second-half play and remain in last place in the Southern League North Division.

Omar Bencomo took his third loss but he only allowed one earned run over six frames. Bencomo uncorked a wild pitch in the fourth inning that eventually lead to another run. He finished with four strikeouts and one walk.

Paco Rodriguez pitched two shutout innings with a pair of strikeouts to end the game.

The bulk of the scoring for the Jumbo Shrimp took place in the second inning. After getting a double play with the bases loaded the Shrimp loaded the bases again. This time a ground ball to shortstop Taylor Motter was thrown away at first and four runs were plated and the Shrimp never looked back.

Motter was added to the Lookouts' roster after outfielder Tanner English was placed on the Disabled List.

Zander Wiel would homer for his fourth time on the season in the fourth inning. The Looks would add a run in the seventh but the damage was done by then.

Luis Arraez went 3-for-5 at the plate and Wiel collected his home run as part of a two-hit game.Ryan Walker also reached base three times. Out of the team’s 10 hits, Wiel had the lone extra-base hit.

That was the case yesterday as Tennessee's Jeremy Pruitt took the podium at the SEC Media Days in Atlanta. It seems that former Georgia players Aaron Murray and David Pollack accused Pruitt of being disrespectful to former Georgia coach ... (click for more)

Lookouts Open Series In Mobile Wednesday With 4-2 Win Over BayBears

MOBILE, Ala. --- When the Chattanooga Lookouts pitching staff digs in it's heels it means that a couple of home runs added in last night was good enough for a 4-2 win over Mobile. Am I Alone? - And Response (5)

Am I alone seems to be quite apt as I begin to form sentences, thoughts and concerns regarding the state of this country. I feel like I am alone trying, somehow, to justify Trump and understand why he is constantly in the middle of chaos.  Now coined as the Liar-in-Chief, Chief Foreign Affairs Coordinator acting for his pal Russian Dictator, Putin.  The silence ...
